Dig out your anorak and notepad and get set for a bit of trainspotting - although this is not about any old train. From this weekend and next week, The Flying Scotsman will be puffing along the North York Moors Railway. Sadly, all tickets for rides have been snapped up but if you go along to Grosmont or Pickering station you’ll get a chance to see this historic steam train in action. All journeys start from Grosmont. If you have time to spare, pop into The Old School Coffee Shop in Grosmont whose outdoor area (once the school playground) overlooks the railway track. Alternatively the light and airy Geall Gallery and Artisan Cafe is worth a visit too.
